"summary": "Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for Israel to permanently extend its sovereignty over territories currently held by Israeli forces in Gaza and Lebanon, according to an address he made at the National Conservatism Conference in Jerusalem. Smotrich argued that demonstrating this sovereignty would serve as a price of defeat for adversaries and act as a deterrent against future attacks on Israel and its citizens. The proposal was made during his speech at the conference, which focused on National Conservatism.",
