"account": "Apple is reportedly collaborating with LG to introduce a range of smart home devices, according to Bloomberg. The devices under development include a smart lock, a thermostat, and a doorbell, all designed to work together with Apple's upcoming smart home hub, scheduled for release on October 13th. The hub will feature a 6-inch square display, which can be placed on a countertop or mounted on a wall. In addition to these products, both companies are working on a series of security cameras, including indoor, outdoor, and floodlight models. The LG-branded devices are expected to be announced, if not officially launched, in the coming week. While TechCrunch reached out to Apple for further details, the new products may serve as a counter to Amazon's smart home offerings, which already includes a variety of similar products like its Ring home security cameras. Apple's entry into the smart home market marks a new venture for the company, expanding its presence beyond its recent hardware releases.",
