"account": "SEOUL: North Korea has rebuked the United States for selling arms and providing military assistance to Taiwan, alleging Washington is exacerbating tensions in the Taiwan Strait, according to state media KCNA. The commentary, attributed to North Korean analyst Kim Myong Chol, decried the presence of US-made fighter jets in Taiwan, asserting that the US should reconsider its stance on confronting China and its ability to handle the potential fallout. Sixty-six new F-16V Block 70 fighter aircraft purchased by Taiwan in 2019 had recently arrived, as the island nation grapples with increasing military pressure from China, which claims the self-governing territory as its own. Separately, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un extended Russia's support in his birthday message to President Vladimir Putin, stating that Pyongyang will persist in bolstering their comprehensive strategic partnership. Kim expressed confidence that Russia's \"sacred war of justice\" to safeguard its sovereignty, security interests, and territorial integrity would culminate in triumph, though the statement did not specifically reference Russia's ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Since 2024, Pyongyang has reportedly deployed an estimated 14,000 to 15,000 troops to aid Russia in its Ukraine campaign.",
