"account": "A one-year lease extension has left Punggol East Container Park and Tebing Lane tenants in a state of relief and frustration. City Sprouts, the master tenant, announced the extension on Oct 3, but subtenants were instructed to cease operations by Oct 31. Founders of businesses like Play Pickle and Ark Bloc reported feeling blindsided by the sudden change, as they had already begun planning their moves. Some tenants welcomed the extension as a chance to secure new locations, while others lamented the lack of a clear timeline from the start. City Sprouts plans to offer the extension to its subtenants, with priority given to those who wish to stay. However, not all businesses are hopeful that the extension will reverse their decline in customer numbers and revenue.",
"summary": "Some had already paid deposits and begun renovations at new premises, while others say the one-year extension gives them time to plan their next move.",
