"account": "The SPD parliamentary group in the German Bundestag held a spontaneous protest march in Berlin after the election of the first AfD state parliament president. The march went from the Bundestag through the Brandenburg Gate to Bebelplatz, where books were burned by the Nazis in 1933. Several MPs carried copies of the Basic Law, and Defence Minister Boris Pistorius led the national anthem after a passionate speech. SPD leader Matthias Miersch said the party felt a duty to show its colours when democracy was under pressure, following the AfD's election to a state parliament presidency for the first time since the founding of the Federal Republic.",
