"account": "Donald Trump faced criticism for suggesting Iran could target major US cities like Los Angeles and San Diego. California Governor Gavin Newsom denounced Trump as \"deranged and dangerous\" after the president made the comments at a rally in Nebraska. California's early voting for the November midterm elections began on Monday. The White House defended Trump's remarks, stating that the president was implying Iran's cities would have threatened the US if not for the war. The comment sparked backlash from Californians, with some Republicans distancing themselves from the remarks. Trump previously downplayed concerns about Iran's potential attack on US soil.",
