"summary": "Today’s evening news recap begins with a sad event that rocked the nation since yesterday, the NAF ATR-42 aircraft crash in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State. The aircraft, with 25 people onboard including five crew members and 20 passengers, has drawn condolences from President Bola Tinubu, opposition political parties, top politicians, and the international community. The crash has sparked discussions on aviation safety and the need for better safety measures in the Nigerian skies. Additionally, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, revealed that INEC staff are the least paid workers in Nigeria, calling for better remuneration to ensure staff accountability. Lastly, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Segun Aina, explained the decision to establish a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) centre in Canada, aiming to expand access to education for Nigerians living in North America.",
