"account": "La Pleasure Beach is slated to reopen within three weeks, according to management. The demolition of structures at the facility was carried out on Friday, October 2 by the National Security, following a request from the Labadi Beach Hotel to clear its beachfront of encroachments. Several structures and businesses were destroyed during the demolition. Abdul Rahman Ashittey, the Communications Director of La Pleasure Beach, stated that the reopening timeline hinges on the speed of debris clearance and the installation of necessary facilities. He informed Channel One TV that the debris is expected to be cleared this week, allowing for the installation of toll booths and a toilet facility, potentially leading to the beach's reopening within three weeks. Ashittey also expressed the importance of La Pleasure Beach to the La community, noting that its activities have helped establish a development fund. He inquired about how the community would continue to raise funds for development if the beach were permanently closed, having met with the National Security Coordinator, Regional Minister, Local Government Minister, Chief of La, and Labadi Beach Hotel management to discuss the next steps.",
