"account": "La Pleasure Beach is set to reopen its gates within three weeks, according to management, following a recent demolition exercise. The facility's return to operation follows a request from the Labadi Beach Hotel for the removal of structures deemed encroachments to its beachfront. Abdul Rahman Ashittey, Communications Director at La Pleasure Beach, stated that the reopening timeline hinges on the speed of debris clearance and the restoration of necessary facilities. He informed reporters that the debris is anticipated to be cleared this week, paving the way for the installation of booths and toilet facilities. Ashittey assured that these restorative measures could be completed within three weeks, contingent upon the timely removal of debris. The management has also cautioned vendors against constructing permanent structures on the beach once operations resume. Ashittey highlighted the significant financial contribution of the beach to the La community, emphasizing that its revenue has facilitated the establishment of a development fund. He questioned the sustainability of funding development projects in the community if the beach's activities were to remain indefinitely suspended. Ashittey engaged key stakeholders including the National Security Coordinator, the Regional Minister, the Local Government Minister, the Chief of La, and the Labadi Beach Hotel management in discussions to chart a course forward.",
