"account": "Washington Wizards General Manager Will Dawkins is urging star forward Anthony Davis to remind the basketball world of the player he once was. Davis has faced a series of injuries over the past two seasons that have kept him off the court, but Dawkins believes the 26-year-old is in a great frame of mind and ready to make a significant impact in the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season.\n\nDavis was an NBA All-Star during the 2024-25 season and finished fourth in Defensive Player of the Year voting the previous year. However, recency bias may lead some fans to believe that Davis has lost his form. Dawkins is confident that Davis is capable of turning back the clock and proving his detractors wrong.\n\nThe Wizards have assembled a strong roster that allows Davis to thrive. Trae Young provides him with an excellent playmaker, while AJ Dybantsa is emerging as a promising star. The team also benefits from the contributions of players like Bilal Coulibaly, Bub Carrington, and Khris Middleton, who can provide support and spark when needed.\n\nDawkins' strategy is to alleviate the pressure on Davis by distributing offensive and defensive responsibilities among the team's core players. By doing so, he can free up the big man to focus on his strengths and resume his All-Star-level play. Dawkins' confidence in Davis' abilities and the team's overall potential suggests that the upcoming NBA season could be a turning point for the forward.",
