"account": "The Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, has called on the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Community at Tseaddo to actively protect the environment and oppose actions that harm Ghana's natural resources. In his homily during a pastoral visit, he highlighted the grave risks posed by environmental degradation, including polluted water and deteriorating farmlands, which threaten human health and well-being. Reflecting on the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the Archbishop emphasized the saint's reverence for creation as a model for Christians today, as Ghana continues to battle environmental challenges like illegal mining. He underscored that harming the environment affects not only the loss of natural resources but also the quality of food and daily life. Archbishop Kwofie urged the faithful to view environmental stewardship as an integral part of their Christian duty, encouraging them to act generously and support community initiatives.",
