"account": "The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has established a condolence register at its conference centre in Abuja following the tragic ATR-42 aircraft crash in Ondo State that claimed the lives of all 32 individuals on board. Announced on the social media platform X on Tuesday, the NAF expressed gratitude for the sympathy, prayers, and solidarity extended by Nigerians and well-wishers both domestically and internationally in response to the devastating incident. The Air Force highlighted that the outpouring of support had brought solace to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of the victims. Additionally, the NAF paid tribute to the deceased, acknowledging their service to the nation with honor, dedication, and distinction, emphasizing that their sacrifice would forever be remembered. The aircraft, carrying 25 passengers and seven crew members, tragically crashed into a swampy area in Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area in Ondo State, on Monday, October 5, 2026, during a routine mission from Benin City, Edo State, to Lagos. President Bola Tinubu extended condolences to the families of the victims and ordered a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the crash.",
