"account": "Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, of the B Yachad party, has declared that a primary requirement for collaborating in the upcoming government would be enacting a law that prohibits individuals who evade military service or incite others to do so from serving in Israel's security cabinet. This law, known as the \"Deri Law,\" is named after Shas chairman Arye Deri, who is a key member of the coalition government led by Benjamin Netanyahu. Bennett made these remarks during a conference at Reichman University focused on counterterrorism. He emphasized the critical importance of including haredi (ultra-Orthodox) conscripts in the IDF, warning that draft evasion poses a strategic threat to Israel's security.",
"summary": "Though Shas's Arye Deri served briefly in the IDF, the party has come under fire over its stance on haredi conscription to the IDF amid the military’s severe manpower shortage.",
