"account": "Marcus Mumford and Carey Mulligan hosted their annual Wassail benefit charity show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, raising over $7.65 million for the nonprofit Children in Conflict. The event, which took place on Sunday night (Oct. 4), featured performances from Mumford & Sons, Brandi Carlile, Sierra Ferrell, and Jensen McRae. The couple has been global ambassadors for Children in Conflict for more than a decade, traveling to war zones to witness the charity's programs firsthand. On Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night (Oct. 5), Mumford joked about Kimmel's unavailability to host the show and playfully suggested that he would have raised less money if he had been present. The announcement of the record-breaking donation left the audience in stunned silence, as actress Octavia Spencer exclaimed that the amount raised exceeded all previous fundraising efforts. Mumford expressed his gratitude, stating that the funds will support the education and mental health of over one million children in conflict-affected areas. Following the show, Mumford performed a rendition of \"Here\" with Chris Thile from the band's sixth album, Prizefighter.",
