"account": "Nigeria LNG Limited unveiled GenScan AI, a cutting-edge AI-powered medical imaging tool, at a presentation in Abuja. Developed by Mary-Brenda Akoda, GenScan AI has the potential to slash magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan times by up to 90 percent while preserving or enhancing image quality. The AI system employs the C-MORE algorithm to reconstruct MRI images using a streamlined one-step framework, eliminating the need for additional MRI hardware. This innovation could enable healthcare providers to serve more patients, minimize waiting times, and optimize the utilization of existing MRI equipment, particularly as access to advanced diagnostic services remains limited in various parts of Nigeria. NLNG's General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Sophia Horsfall, emphasized the company's commitment to translating scientific research into tangible improvements in people's lives. She highlighted that GenScan AI offers the opportunity to enhance medical imaging efficiency and maximize the use of current equipment. Stakeholders, including clinicians and healthcare professionals, will play a crucial role in determining how to employ the technology safely and effectively, as further testing and validation are necessary before it can be integrated into routine clinical practice.",
