"account": "The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry faces uncertainty regarding the ability of former Deputy Crime Intelligence head Major-General Feroz Khan to testify before its panels. Khan is set to appear before the Commission on Tuesday morning in private, a development that has raised concerns about his fitness to provide testimony after suffering an injury in a shooting incident just days before his scheduled appearance in July. The delay in his appearance comes in the wake of allegations involving an IT Treasury contract kickback and the Aeroton drug bust in Johannesburg's southern region in 2021. Additionally, Khan is expected to face questions concerning his financial and property matters. The Madlanga Commission has informed that Khan will be probed about evidence that was read into the record in his absence on July 7 and 9, 2026. Should Khan fail to appear or refuse to testify, he could potentially face contempt charges.",
