"account": "Beijing, October 5 - Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev was expelled from his China Open semi-final match against Novak Djokovic due to accidentally injuring a spectator with a bounced ball. The incident occurred when Medvedev trailed 7-5, 5-3 and lost a point while the ball was still rebounding. The spectator, seated in the front row behind Medvedev, suffered a painful injury to his left eye and was assisted out of the gallery. Medvedev, who did not protest the umpire's decision, expressed regret over the incident and attempted to contact the affected individual. Djokovic, the world number five, was equally shocked by the occurrence, acknowledging the intensity of the situation and empathy for Medvedev. Both semi-finals were cancelled early as Hubert Hurkacz withdrew due to an adductor injury, and Australian Alex de Minaur also exited after being leading the match 6-4, 3-2. Djokovic's China Open winning streak reached an impressive 33 consecutive matches, setting a new record in the Open Era.",
