"summary": "Quebec's separatist party, the Parti Quebecois, has won provincial elections, but fell short of a majority government. The party's leader, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, has promised to hold a referendum on Quebec's independence from Canada.\n\nAccording to Channel News Asia, Plamondon stated that the referendum would take place after US President Donald Trump leaves office. He also mentioned that the struggle of francophones in Quebec would find meaning when they obtain their own country.\n\nCanada's Prime Minister is Mark Carney, who has pledged to work with the incoming separatist government to address Quebec's needs, including resisting a hostile US administration, creating jobs, and building housing, as reported by Euronews.",
