"account": "ISLAMABAD - A suspected robber was killed and a policeman was injured during an encounter in the capital on Sunday night, according to police. Two suspects were involved in robberies on Fatehjang Road and Dhoke Paracha shortly before they came face to face with law enforcement. A six-member police patrolling team had set up a checkpoint on G.T. Road near Golra Mor for monitoring. At approximately 9:05pm, two motorcyclists approached the checkpoint from the Tarnol area. Upon suspicion, the police signaled the motorcyclists to halt, but the riders applied the brakes and attempted to maneuver their motorcycle. Both riders fell onto the road and began shooting at the police force. Resultantly, Constable Atif Mehmood sustained a bullet injury. The suspects then raced towards Chungi No. 26, with one of them continuing to fire at the police. The accomplice also sustained a bullet injury while the other suspect managed to flee. The injured policeman was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The police fired warning shots in self-defense. Later, the injured suspect was discovered on the ground and a 30-bore pistol along with several mobile phones was recovered from him. He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The motorcycle and three mobile phones were confiscated and transferred to the police station. The police confirmed that the two suspects were responsible for robberies, one on Fatehjang Road at 8pm and another at Dhoke Paracha at 8pm.",
