"summary": "Teachers in Gombe State have expressed concerns about their poor welfare, inadequate salaries, and the rising cost of living on World Teachers’ Day. According to Punch Nigeria, they have urged the government to address these issues.\n\nIn other parts of the world, celebrations have taken place. The Ministry of Education in Ghana has commended teachers across the country for their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices. MyJoyOnline Ghana reported that the Ministry recognised the critical role teachers play in shaping the minds, character, and future of children.\n\nIn a separate development, Premium Times reported that the Ogun State government rewarded outstanding teachers, schools, and administrators with over N51 million and announced the absorption of over 1,500 OgunTEACh interns into the mainstream civil service. Additionally, the government committed N24 billion to education infrastructure and employed 7,000 teachers.",
