"account": "Former Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, who had not played in an NFL game since January 2025, has agreed to a contract with the Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple reports. Mixon, who rushed for 1,016 yards in his only season with the Houston Texans in 2024, missed the entire 2025 season due to a foot issue that the team described as a medical condition. Although the Texans signed Mixon to a three-year, $27 million contract prior to the 2024 season, they released him in March. The Seattle Seahawks, the defending Super Bowl champions, are currently seeking a running back and have placed rookie Jadarian Price on injured reserve. Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported on Sunday that Mixon would meet with the Seahawks, and the running back shared a photo of the stadium from his Instagram account on Monday evening. Mixon, 30 years old, had posted two consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Bengals and Texans before taking a break from the sport in 2025. The Houston Texans have struggled to establish a consistent run game without Mixon; Woody Marks, who led the team with 703 yards on the ground last season, has managed only 87 yards on 28 carries thus far in the current season. The Texans subsequently signed veteran David Montgomery from the Detroit Lions, yet he has only accumulated 127 yards in four games. Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks maintain a 3-1 record.",
