"summary": "The Sokoto State Government has denied reports that 18 students of Gamji College of Health Technology were abducted by terrorists while travelling to Oyo State. According to the government, the report is false and misleading.\n\nThe government clarified that the person involved in the abduction was Halima Sokeni, a former student of Gamji College of Nursing Sciences, not a current student of Gamji College of Health Technology. Sokeni graduated as a midwife in September 2026 and was travelling home on October 1 when she and other passengers were reportedly abducted in Niger State, as per Daily Post Nigeria and Daily Trust.\n\nThe Sokoto State Government has urged the public to disregard the report and has appealed to journalists and media organisations to verify information before publication to avoid causing unnecessary panic and misleading the public.",
