"summary": "The Sokoto State Government and Gamji College of Health Technology have denied reports that 18 students of the college were abducted by terrorists while travelling to Oyo State. According to the government, the report was false and misleading.\n\nThe government clarified that the person involved in the abduction was Halima Sokeni, a former student of Gamji College of Nursing Sciences, not a current student of Gamji College of Health Technology. Sokeni, who graduated as a midwife in September 2026, was travelling home on October 1 when she and other passengers were reportedly abducted in Niger State, as per Daily Post Nigeria and Daily Trust.\n\nThe government has urged the public to disregard the report and has called on journalists and media organisations to verify information before publication to avoid spreading misinformation.",
