"account": "Prime Video has announced their next historical drama, Bloodaxe, set to delve into ancient Norse lore. Creator Michael Hirst, known for his previous works Vikings and Vikings: Valhalla, will return to the genre. The new series will focus on Eric Bloodaxe, a notorious warrior played by Australian actor Xavier Molyneux, and his powerful wife, Gunnhild, portrayed by Jennifer Madsen. Eric is the son of Harald Finehair, a character played by Jesper Christensen. Hirst's new series promises a tale of rivalry, shifting loyalties, and betrayal amidst war and chaos in Norway. The saga is set to draw in kings from other Scandinavian countries and even a powerful English ruler. Bloodaxe, with its emphasis on bloodlines, will be written by Hirst and his son Horatio. The show, which has already been renewed for a second season, boasts a star-studded cast including Karlis Arnolds Avots, Levi Miller, Rod Hallett, Alina Tomnikov, Sisse Marie, and Rune Temte. While an exact release date has not been confirmed, Prime Video has set the landing date for 2027.",
