"account": "Mary Fowler has been removed from the Australian Matildas squad for two upcoming internationals against Germany and Haiti, citing personal reasons. Football Australia disclosed the decision after conversations with Fowler, Manchester City, and Matildas staff. The withdrawal was announced on Tuesday morning in a release from Football Australia.\n\nFowler, who recently played a crucial role in Manchester City's comeback victory against Arsenal, has been replaced by Leah Davidson. The 24-year-old midfielder has made four appearances for the Matildas since her debut in 2024. Fowler's partner, Nathan Cleary, an NRL star for the Penrith Panthers, is currently recovering in Sydney following leg surgery. Cleary suffered a compound fracture and dislocated ankle during a match, necessitating emergency surgery.\n\nThe Matildas will face Germany in Karlsruhe, Germany, on October 10, followed by a match against Haiti in France on October 13. These games serve as part of the Australian team's preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Australia previously split a two-match series with Mexico in June, securing one win each.",
