"summary": "Russian activist Leonid Melekhin has been sentenced to six years in a penal colony for \"justifying terrorism\" by a Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg, according to the independent outlet Mediazona. Melekhin was deported from the United States to Russia last summer after being denied political asylum. The criminal case against him stemmed from a post in a Telegram channel \"Bobr. There and back (an immigration diary)\" run by fellow Perm activist Leonid Bobrov. The post showed Melekhin alongside an image of a poster depicting a mannequin hanging by a rope and a photograph of Russian President Vladimir Putin, with a statement condemning Putin as a murderer, fascist, and usurper.",
