"account": "Abia State Governor Alex Otti has ordered the return of teachers who were retired before the age of 65 but are now under the new retirement age of 65. This directive was given during the 2026 World Teachers’ Day celebration in Umuahia. The teachers were initially disengaged or retired at age 60, but Otti has now directed his administration to bring them back to service. Otti emphasized his administration's commitment to fairness and transparency, stating that those affected should be returned to work, even if it's six months before their actual retirement. Additionally, he ordered the payment of all outstanding check-off dues owed to teachers within seven days, and the salaries of newly recruited teachers should be settled before the end of October. Otti also directed the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board to complete the process of outstanding promotions for 2021 and 2022 by the end of October.",
