"account": "Nigeria has initiated a search-and-rescue mission following the crash of a military aircraft carrying 32 individuals in Ondo State, located in the southwestern region of the country. The wreckage of the aircraft was discovered near the naval base in Igbokoda, according to Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, who announced the development on Monday via social media platforms. The plane reportedly vanished while on a journey from Benin to Lagos. \"The wreckage has been located and search and rescue operations are underway,\" Keyamo stated in his update.\n\nPremature reports suggested that 25 passengers and 7 crew members were on board the aircraft. Air traffic controllers lost contact with the plane at 09:13 local time (0813 GMT). Despite numerous attempts to establish radio communication with the aircraft, these efforts were unsuccessful. Subsequent investigations have confirmed that the military aircraft, identified by the tail number NGR 931, crashed close to the Naval Base in Igbokoda, Ondo State. Preliminary information indicates that the aircraft was an ATR-42, en route to Lagos on a regular flight. The Nigerian Air Force reported that the plane was part of their fleet and was undertaking a routine journey.\n\nKeyamo informed the public of the unfortunate incident and pledged the Aviation Ministry's full cooperation and assistance in the ongoing search and rescue efforts. He communicated this pledge to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the crash site, where they are currently working to locate and assist any survivors. Authorities have not yet confirmed any casualties, and the extent of the aircraft's damage remains unknown at this time.",
