"account": "In a surprise reunion, grunge legends L7 have released a new song, \"Loma Linda\", featuring former bassist Janis Tanaka. The track, recorded in 2003, was unearthed by lead vocalist Donita Sparks while sifting through the band's archives. Sparks collaborated with Tanaka, Suzi Gardner, and Dee Plakas to add new vocals and layers, completing the song well ahead of their upcoming North American tour. L7's original bassist, Jennifer Finch, passed away earlier this year after battling an aggressive form of brain cancer. Finch's memoir will be published posthumously in early 2027. The band's 1992 single \"Pretend We're Dead\" has also been named No. 197 in The 250 Best Songs of the 1990s.",
