"account": "Taylor Swift's latest single, \"Patient Zero,\" has claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking her 16th career No. 1 hit. This achievement ends the record-setting streak of Ella Langley's \"Choosin’ Texas,\" which held the top position for an unprecedented 24 weeks since February. \"Patient Zero\" is featured on the deluxe edition of Swift's 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl, titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. Released on September 25, the deluxe set has re-entered the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart for an impressive 13th consecutive week. In addition to \"Patient Zero,\" three other new tracks from the album also debuted within the Hot 100's top five: \"Cleveland!,\" \"Babylon,\" and \"Pink Clouding,\" occupying the 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions, respectively.\n\nSwift's status on the chart highlights her remarkable career, as she now holds the third-most No. 1 entries in Hot 100 history, trailing only The Beatles' 20 and Mariah Carey's 19. She ties with Drake for the most career No. 1 Hot 100 debuts with 10, and her total career Hot 100 top 10s now stand at 74, surpassing her as the most among women, with Drake leading at 90. The Life of a Showgirl has also claimed 14 Hot 100 top 10s, breaking a tie for the most ever achieved by an album. The Hot 100 chart, which blends U.S. streaming, radio airplay, and sales data, includes purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers, excluding digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer sites. All charts will be updated on Billboard.com with the October 10, 2026 edition. For the latest chart updates and news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on X and Instagram.
