"account": "The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced plans to set up a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) center in Ottawa, Canada, for Nigerians and North Americans in 2027. The decision came after JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, visited the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa. The initiative aims to make it easier for Nigerians abroad to sit for the UTME without traveling to Nigeria for the examination. The proposed center in Ottawa will provide greater access to the UTME, strengthen the connection between Nigerians abroad and the Nigerian education system, and create more opportunities to showcase Nigerian tertiary education internationally. JAMB’s efforts to take Nigerian tertiary education to the world will be highlighted through this initiative.",
