"account": "Demi Vollering declared her dominance in women's professional cycling by securing the European Championships road race title in Slovenia on Saturday. This victory came just a week after she clinched the World Championships road race in Montréal, debuting her new rainbow bands jersey in the European event. The Dutch cyclist won the race solo, attacking from a trio consisting of her teammate Puck Pieterse and Poland's Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney on the final climb. Despite the growing chase group, Vollering maintained her lead, with Pieterse claiming the silver medal, marking a memorable Dutch one-two finish. Throughout the year, Vollering has dominated with her FDJ United-Suez team, securing victories in major races such as the Tour of Flanders, Giro d'Italia Women, and the World Championships road race, among others. After her triumph, Vollering expressed her passion for winning, stating, \"I just really love winning, and it never gets boring for me.\" She emphasized her commitment to continuous improvement, saying, \"It's not only the winning for me, but just improving yourself and getting better every day, working on yourself every day, and seeing what's still possible for the future.\" Vollering also acknowledged her teammates, praising the Dutch team's runner-up position. She will compete again in the European Championships time trial on Wednesday, October 7, in an attempt to add another victory to her already impressive list. However, she will be up against Swiss rider Marlen Reusser, who finished third in the road race and has won the event four times in the past five editions.",
