"account": "In a statement on Monday, October 5 via Facebook, Nana Akomea, the 3rd Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dismissed claims that his absence from the introduction of the party’s newly elected executives was due to discontent over a deal involving Kojo Bamba. The vice chairman emphasized that his non-attendance was unrelated to any disagreement or discussion regarding Mr. Bamba or any other individual. According to Mr. Akomea, he had exited the conference premises around 11:30 pm and encountered traffic en route back to the Kumasi stadium, which resulted in his arrival only minutes after the executive introductions had concluded. He clarified during the Facebook post that he could not have participated in any negotiation with Kojo Bamba or anyone else during the vote counting and tabulation. This rebuttal comes in response to reports that circulated after the NPP's national delegates congress in Kumasi, regarding the absence of several newly elected officials during their introduction event.",
