"account": "Indonesian officials have ruled out a planned concert by American gospel singer Israel Houghton, citing security concerns and the risk of political endorsement for Israel. Coordinating minister Yusril Ihza Mahendra announced the decision after consultations with relevant ministries and agencies, stating that Houghton's support for Israel conflicted with Indonesia's foreign policy and its stance on Palestinian independence. Houghton, an eight-time Grammy winner, had expressed his support for Israel during previous overseas performances, a sentiment that Indonesian authorities found sensitive. The planned 'Heal the Whole World Knows Tour 2026' concert, scheduled for October 24 in Jakarta, had not yet received a permit application from organizers, and Houghton had not applied for a visa. Indonesian authorities have also monitored Houghton's planned performances in Malaysia, with the Sabah Police advising against the concert due to public sensitivities and community concerns.",
"summary": "The decision was unrelated to Israel Houghton's religion or name, but the government was concerned about his expressions of support for Israel.",
