"account": "By Election 2026: Five Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Assam will face elections on the same day. These by-elections are significant following the BJP's victory in West Bengal, ending the TMC's 15-year rule, and Vijay's victory in Tamil Nadu. In West Bengal, BJP chief minister Suvendu Adhikari faces his first electoral test in Nandigram and Rejinagar. The latter seat is crucial as it was the site of Mamata Banerjee's rise in 2011 and where Adhikari won in 2021. The BJP has fielded Hasirani Rath, while the TMC has withdrawn its nominee and backed Congress candidate Milan Pradhan. Rejinagar's bye-election was necessitated after candidate Golam Nabi Azad retained his seat. In Tamil Nadu, TVK chief C Joseph Vijay campaigned aggressively for the two contested seats, Madurantakam and Dharapuram. Four-cornered contest includes TVK, DMK, AIADMK and CPI. In Puducherry, the NDA government led by N Rangasamy faces a test of popularity with 11 candidates contesting. In Assam, the Nagaon Lok Sabha seat will see a triangular contest between BJP, Congress and AIUDF.",
