"account": "Duraplast Limited is set to resume full production today, following a devastating fire that destroyed all of the company's stock in its warehouse located in the North Industrial Area at Avenor, Accra. The fire ignited in the early hours of Thursday, October 1, 2026, and spread to neighboring facilities as well. Bismark Tsatsu, the Systems Manager responsible for Health and the Environment at Duraplast, stated that the company is currently assessing the extent of the damage and preparing to restock its warehouse. Tsatsu expressed confidence in returning to full operations by Monday, depending on the initial assessment. The fire is believed to have originated from a cooking gas explosion in the nearby Islam area, where residents were reportedly cooking. While the financial cost of the incident remains undetermined, all products on the warehouse floor were destroyed. Tsatsu expressed relief that the fire did not spread to the main factory, which houses critical machinery and equipment, potentially disrupting production. He praised the Ghana National Fire Service and other state authorities for their assistance in containing the blaze and maintaining law and order at the scene. Other Duraplast sites remain operational, ensuring customers can still access products such as pipes and water tanks through alternative outlets.",
