"account": "The Kebbi State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has refuted a viral video claiming poor education funding and low teacher salaries in the region. Zaki Sarki, the state NUT chairman, stated in a Monday statement that the video is outdated, edited, and manipulated to give a false impression of the state's education system. According to Sarki, the video's claims are misleading and do not represent recent improvements in teachers' welfare and educational infrastructure in Kebbi State. The chairman highlighted the state government's decision to raise the teachers' minimum wage to N75,000 and cited other interventions including the construction of new schools and classrooms, recruitment of additional teachers, and provision of learning materials. Sarki emphasized that the union rejects the video's contents and encourages the public to verify facts before concluding about the state's education sector. He also affirmed the union's commitment to work with the government to address teachers' concerns and enhance education in Kebbi State.",
