"account": "Malaysia's national football team, Harimau Malaya, secured a third-place finish in the 2026 FIFA Asean Cup after a narrow 1-0 victory over Vietnam in the third-place playoff match at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. Substitute goalkeeper Fergus Tierney was instrumental in the win, scoring the only goal in the 62nd minute. This victory ended Malaysia's more than ten-year losing streak against Vietnam, with their last triumph coming in the 2014 AFF Cup semi-finals. Tah Cheng Hoe, the interim head coach, made three substitutions, leaving out Brad Tapp, Arif Aiman Hanapi, and Dion Cools, who was unavailable due to family matters. Vietnam, under head coach Kim Sang-sik, dominated the first half with numerous attacks and crosses, but Malaysia held a slim lead until Tierney's decisive strike. The win brought a positive end to Malaysia's campaign, as they narrowly missed out on the final on goal scored, ending with a draw to Indonesia on points and goal difference in Division 1 Group A.",
