"account": "The government has raised monthly allowances for Paramount Chiefs and Queen Mothers to GH¢3,000, as disclosed by Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister Mahama Ayariga at the Government Accountability Series on October 5. Ayariga stated that this increase is part of the government's efforts to bolster the traditional leadership system and bolster support for chiefs who collaborate with local government authorities. Under President Mahama's administration, payments for these allowances have risen from GH¢1,200 to the new amount, with six quarters already paid since the beginning of the current government's tenure. Ayariga also mentioned that the government is investigating ways to utilize local government resources to further aid traditional councils, noting that many Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) heavily depend on the cooperation of paramount chiefs and traditional councils to effectively implement development projects.",
