"account": "The well-known Malaysian businessman Johan Idris has been appointed as the new chairman of IJM Corporation Bhd, replacing the long-serving chairman Krishnan Tan who retired in August. Johan, who currently holds the positions of chairman at Maxis Bhd and non-executive chairman at KPMG Malaysia, brings more than three decades of experience in finance, auditing, and corporate advisory to his new role. He succeeds Lee Teck Yuen, who had assumed the chairmanship in late August following Krishnan's retirement, with the intention of providing stability during the board's deliberations for a longer-term appointment. Lee has since been reappointed as a non-executive director and will continue to serve on the board.
