"account": "Former hostage Romi Gonen provided a glimpse into her harrowing experience of being taken to Gaza during her podcast, Romi Gonen's New Life, in collaboration with V1. Reflecting on the footage, Gonen recounted the fear, pain, and helplessness she felt, describing herself as \"lying there, the sun is shining right on me, my hair is blowing in the wind.\" She expressed disbelief at seeing herself alive in the video, stating, \"It's no longer an image that I had. It's something that's actually alive, breathing.\" Gonen emphasized the overwhelming fear she experienced during those moments, saying, \"All I felt during those moments in the car was that I was really scared by that point, really scared.\" The video also shows her opening her eyes towards the end, a moment that gave her the confirmation she was conscious, as she went on to say, \"There's something about seeing myself open my eyes at that moment that gives me confirmation that I was conscious there.\" Gonen was abducted from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, after Hamas terrorists attacked the event and surrounding areas. She was shot in the hand while trying to escape and was held captive in Gaza for 471 days before being released in January 2025 as part of a hostage-ceasefire agreement. Following her release, Gonen underwent extensive medical treatment for her injuries and complications arising from inadequate medical care during her captivity. She was discharged from the Sheba Medical Center in July 2025 after undergoing two complex surgeries.",
