"account": "The District Education Authority in Rawalpindi has taken disciplinary action against 404 teachers and 160 principals following a string of poor Class 9 examination results. The show-cause notices were issued to institutions where the pass percentage fell below 20%. The alarming failure rate of 76% was reported by the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Out of 124,430 candidates who registered, only 121,739 sat for the exam, with just 45,724 students managing to pass, resulting in a paltry success rate of 37.56%. In response to the poor performance, the district administration has directed government schools to intensify their efforts to cover the Grade 9 and 10 curriculum without any breaks, operating six days a week until the winter vacations. District CEO Yaseen Khan Baloch has assured that termination from service is the final step, and personal hearings will be held for the affected teachers and headmasters before any such decision is made by October 20. Baloch emphasized the need to enhance the quality of education, especially for senior classes, in order to boost future exam performance. The education authority has also recognized 100 outstanding teachers from government schools, who will receive appreciation letters and gifts, along with commendation for their students.",
