"account": "A 71-year-old man has been sentenced to 16 months in jail for molesting his daughter over 20 years ago. The abuse occurred between 1999 and 2001 when the woman was between four and seven years old. The victim, who suffered from mental health issues and trust problems due to the abuse, only disclosed the abuse to her boyfriend a decade later. She had sought help from school counselors and psychologists irregularly since the age of seven, and consistently after turning 21. The man was charged with two counts of outrage of modesty and found guilty by District Judge Carol Ling. The judge found the victim to be credible and noted that the defense witnesses were unaware of the private abuse. Despite the defendant's medical conditions, the judge did not heavily weigh them in sentencing, emphasizing the egregious abuse of trust and the need for retribution and deterrence. The man is currently on bail and has appealed the sentence and conviction.",
