"account": "The week of September 28 to October 3 saw a flurry of high school sports events in the Pensacola area. Pace secured a hard-fought victory over Pine Forest in overtime, a game that could be considered one of the season's most memorable. In a surprising turn, West Florida edged out Booker T. Washington for the first time, marking a significant improvement for the latter's season. Defending District 1-3A champions Tate boys golf claimed their title at the Miracle Strip Invitational on September 29, outperforming Gulf Breeze by four strokes. Central boys also had a strong showing, placing second in a regional event at Eagle Springs, DeFuniak Springs, on the same day. The cross country teams also participated in the Wildcat Invitational, with Aletheia Christian Boys finishing in second place, trailing Niceville. Pensacola Christian demonstrated their prowess by winning the Mako Invite in Orange Beach, away from home. Meanwhile, West Florida and Navarre swimming teams competed in the Panama City Beach High School Invitational, with the Jaguars landing in third and the Raiders in sixth place. The search for the Florida Power & Light PNJ Boys Athlete of the Week is on, following last week's winner, Gulf Breeze swimming's Arthur Phillips, who received an impressive 71.9% of the vote. Voting ends at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and the results will be revealed each Monday following the poll's close. The weekly honoree will receive a PNJ Athlete of the Week shirt from BSN SPORTS. However, each athlete may only win this award once per season. Nominees can be submitted via phone or email, but the final decision rests with PNJ staff. Interested parties are requested to submit their nominations by Sunday night to sports reporter Justin Fitzgerald at JFitzgerald@gannett.com.",
