"account": "Kryvyi Rih, the birthplace of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, grapples with the economic fallout of Russian airstrikes. The city's massive steel plant and mines have been rendered inoperable, crippling the local economy which once comprised a tenth of Ukraine's GDP. Mayor Oleksandr Vilkul, a former mining executive, reported that the city is doing everything to keep hospitals, kindergartens, schools, and buses running, but the situation is dire. Russian strikes have caused a financial crisis for the city of around 600,000 people, highlighting the challenges faced by Ukraine as it faces its biggest budget crisis since the 2022 invasion.",
