"account": "Malaysia's passport and MyKad supplier, NexG Bhd, has returned to its original name of Datasonic Group Bhd, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia. The company's shareholders approved the renaming at their annual general meeting on September 30th. From October 7th, NexG Bhd's securities will be traded and quoted under the new name, maintaining the same stock code. The government had previously explored acquiring Datasonic Technologies Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Datasonic Group Bhd, for approximately RM7.5 billion. However, Putrajaya ultimately decided against purchasing the public-listed company. Datasonic Technologies has been supplying compliant Malaysian passports and MyKads to the government since 2012.",
