"account": "On Sunday evening, a gunman opened fire on a commercial vehicle at the Bukuru Total Roundabout in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in one death and seven injuries. The vehicle, a Boxer bus carrying 20 traders returning from the Kara Livestock Market to Bassa Local Government Area's Rafin Bauna Village, was targeted after being trailed by the assailants. A security source confirmed the attack, explaining that the traders may have been chosen due to the vehicle's proximity to the busy roundabout while they attempted to bypass the recent curfew imposed in certain parts of the state due to security concerns. Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, called the incident barbaric and disturbing, emphasizing that the victims were mostly Fulani and Hausa traders returning home from their lawful business activities. Babayo urged security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation, highlighting the ongoing fear and insecurity faced by herders and traders who rely on the market for their livelihoods. He stressed that no one should be attacked or killed based on their ethnic background or occupation.",
