"summary": "James Tedesco's inclusion in the Australian squad for the Rugby League World Cup has sparked a battle for the fullback jersey with Reece Walsh. Despite Tedesco's successful year, including winning the Clive Churchill Medal, he is not guaranteed to start in the World Cup opener.\n\nThe Australian squad, selected by Kevin Walters, features a mix of experienced and young players. Jack Bostock is likely to make his Test debut in the World Cup opener due to a shortage of wingers. David Fifita, who has been considered a player of limitless possibilities, will also make his Australian debut after a strong finish to the year with Souths.\n\nThe squad selection highlights the disconnect between State and Origin and Test matches, which may be wider than ever before. According to ABC News, this year's team is proof of a new era for Test football, with a blend of major success stories, young and old players.",
