"summary": "James Tedesco's inclusion in the Australian squad for the Rugby League World Cup has sparked a battle for the fullback jersey with Reece Walsh. Despite Tedesco's successful year, including winning the Clive Churchill Medal, he is no guarantee to start in the World Cup opener, according to The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.\n\nThe Australian squad, announced by Kevin Walters, features a mix of experienced players and young talent, including Jack Bostock and David Fifita. Fifita's inclusion comes after a strong finish to the year with Souths, and he is set to make his Australian debut.\n\nThe squad's selection highlights the disconnect between State and Origin and Test matches, with ABC News noting that this divide may be wider than ever before. The team will be led by Kevin Walters in the World Cup, which begins next Thursday.",
