"account": "Curacao and Haiti have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League, with Haiti potentially facing the U.S. men's national soccer team or Mexico in November. Both countries qualified for the 2026 World Cup by finishing in the top two of Group A in the league. They played a round-robin format without meeting each other directly, as mandated by Concacaf's system to create the fixtures. Curacao drew against Trinidad and Tobago, while Haiti lost 2-0 to Costa Rica but secured top-two positions. The winners of each group will play against lower-seeded teams, meaning Curacao is likely to meet Panama, the lowest-ranked seeded team, while Haiti could play either Mexico or the U.S. based on their respective rankings. The remaining teams in Group B are Suriname, Jamaica, Martinique, and El Salvador, with Jamaica currently leading and Honduras set to face Guatemala. The quarterfinal matchups could see Mexico host the U.S., the U.S. host Haiti, Canada play against Suriname, and Panama take on Curacao. The U.S., Mexico, and Canada have announced the locations for the second legs of the quarterfinals, with the Americans hosting in Cincinnati, Mexico traveling to Monterrey, and Canada playing in Toronto. Haiti has not been able to host games since 2021 due to political instability and gang violence.",
